Leadership Academy

The SHLA 4-week Leadership Academy is back

The SHLA provides an in-depth look at local government as well as opportunities for participants to interact with City staff and elected officials.  The interactive sessions will be led by representatives from all City departments.

SHLA will help make City functions more transparent and accessible to Signal Hill residents and community members. SHLA will provide information and insight about the City so that residents can become informed, effective, and inspired community leaders. The program is designed to foster collaboration and partnership between the City and its community.

Why participate? To learn about City government, how it works, how to get more involved, and how it impacts your neighborhood! The Signal Hill Leadership Academy is a great opportunity to meet other active Signal Hill residents, organizations, City staff and elected officials. The only requirement is that all participants must live in the City of Signal Hill. * Limited to the first 20 people.

The deadline to register is Thursday, July 17, 2025
