The Presidential Primary Election is Tuesday, March 3

On Tuesday, March 3, voters will select their choice in the Presidential Primary Election. This is the first election to use LA County’s new Voting Solutions for All People (VSAP) system. Please take some time before the election to learn about VSAP. We’ve posted information on our website. Additionally, check out L.A. County RRCC’s overview of Voting Solutions for All People.

Voters in L.A. County will no longer  vote in-person on a single day. You have 11 consecutive days to vote in-person at any Vote Center county-wide. Vote Centers for the March 3, 2020 Presidential Primary Election are open February 22 - March 3.

Vote by Mail

If you prefer to Vote by Mail, Signal Hill City Hall (2175 Cherry Avenue) is designated as a Vote by Mail drop-off location for this upcoming election. The drop-off box is located on the main floor lobby. Lobby hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. You may drop off your Vote by Mail ballot at City Hall through 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3. If you have questions, please contact the City Clerk’s office at 562-989-7305.

2019 Candidates Forum

The Signal Tribune hosted a public candidate forum on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Signal Hill City Council Chambers to learn more about the potential Signal Hill City Council candidates, including Mayor Tina Hansen, City Clerk Keir Jones and City Commissioner Christopher Wilson.
