Signal Hill Election Information
The City's General Municipal Election is held on the second Tuesday in November of even-numbered years. The next General Municipal Election will be held on November 8, 2022 for two Members of the City Council, a City Clerk, and a City Treasurer, for a full term of four years.
To be eligible to run for City Council, City Clerk, or City Treasurer, candidates must be all of the following:
- Citizen of the United States;
- 18 years of age or older; and
- Registered voter and resident of the City at least 29 days prior to the date of filing nomination papers.
The nomination period begins Monday, July 18, 2022 and ends on August 12, 2022. The nomination period will be extended to August 17, 2022, if an incumbent fails to file nomination papers by the August 12 deadline.

Form 410 (Statement of Organization) - Original to Secretary of State & Copy to City Clerk - Wet Signature Required
