Today we raised our commemorative flag recognizing Women’s History Month at City Hall together with our Mayor, City Council Members, Diversity Coalition Members, Police Officers, esteemed guests, colleagues, and members of our community. Our City pays tribute and celebrates the contributions women have made to American history in a variety of fields. The month was officially recognized by Congress in 1987, and since 1995, presidents have issued a series of annual proclamations designating the month of March as “Women’s History Month.”
