Be Ready to Vote in the November 3 Presidential General Election

Voting in the November 3 Presidential General Election is already underway here in Los Angeles County. If you are already registered to vote, you will receive a Vote by Mail ballot, and a sample ballot via U.S. mail. 

  • All voters must be registered to cast a ballot. The deadline to register to vote or to update your information was Monday, October 19, 2020. 
  • If you missed the registration deadline, eligible Los Angeles County residents who miss the October 19 registration deadline can still vote at any Vote Center in L.A. County. This is called conditional registration, and it is available at all Election Day voting locations. Learn more about conditional voting.
  • All active registered voters will be mailed a sample and Vote-by-Mail ballot starting the week of October 5. You can request a new or replacement Vote by Mail ballot online until Tuesday, October 27. Learn more about Vote by Mail.
  • Secure Vote by Mail ballot drop-off boxes are available throughout the County. This year, Signal Hill's Vote by Mail ballot drop-off box located at the Signal Hill Public Library. There is not a drop box at City Hall this year. Learn more and find an official drop box near you. You do not have to use the Signal Hill drop box, you can use any drop box that is convenient for you.
  • Early in-person voting locations will begin opening in L.A. County starting October 24. 
  • You do not have to vote at a designated Vote Center, you can vote at any Vote Center in the County. Find a Vote Center near you: 
  • Signal Hill's closest Vote Center is at the Signal Hill Community Center, 1780 E Hill St, Signal Hill. Hours: 10/30 - 11/02: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 11/03: 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
