In 2019, the City of Signal Hill will open its brand new, state-of-the-art public library in Signal Hill Park. The 14,000 square foot multi-use facility will replace the old library which was built as a fire house in 1931 and served as the City library for many years. The new Signal Hill Public Library will serve as an anchor in the civic gateway which includes City Hall, the Signal Hill Park Community Center, the Signal Hill Youth Center, the Concerts in the Park amphitheater, and the beloved Spud field.
The Signal Hill Community Foundation invites you to join us in the Library Capital Campaign. The campaign will help to create an endowment of funds for the new Signal Hill Library and support the community for years to come.
The Library Capital Campaign offers two opportunities to leave your lasting legacy and support the Signal Hill Public Library: Naming Opportunities and the Legacy Wall.
Naming opportunities are available for several features of the future Library, including a large multi-purpose community room, a dynamic children’s area, a technology lab, conference rooms, a beautifully landscaped outdoor patio area, a rooftop terrace, and more.
The Signal Hill Public Library Legacy Wall is another great way to support the Library, while recognizing, celebrating or commemorating a special person in your life or our community. Acrylic tiles will be beautifully engraved with names and be mounted among others in a stunning display that will adorn the entryway of the new Library. Gift Levels start at $1,000.
