BARK is an all-volunteer program that encourages children to increase their reading skills and self-confidence by reading aloud to certified therapy dogs.
Recommended for ages 0 to 15 months, though children of all ages are welcome. Experience simple books, rhymes, music and play designed to promote development and learning. Explore the early literacy skills of singing, playing, reading and talking.
Recommended for ages 3 to 5 years, though children of all ages are welcome. Preschoolers will experience stories, activities, creative movements and songs more challenging than those featured in Preschool Storytimes. We explore the early literacy skills of singing, playing, reading, talking and writing in each storytime.
Join us for some Bingo fun! Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
We Synth make music come alive! Come explore sound and music by experimenting with synthesizers, drum machines, sequencers and other fun noise making instruments.
Join your neighbors for a morning of service to the community. Meet at the corner of Gardena Ave. and Burnett St. Sign-in at 9:00 a.m. with orientation at 9:10 a.m. Water and light snacks provided. Bags, gloves, and grabbers provided. No reservations are required. Youth participants are encouraged, with a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
