Signal Hill Community Foundation
The Signal Hill Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in May 2001. The primary purpose of the Foundation is to support the City of Signal Hill by providing funding through grants, donations and corporate support for charitable, cultural, recreational and educational purposes to benefit the community within the boundaries of the City of Signal Hill.
The first undertaking for the foundation was the Unity Monument, dedicated in 2002 in memory of the victims of September 11, 2001. The monument is a symbol of our nation’s renewed strength and unity, blending five separate metals to form a sculpture representing our nation’s diversity. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of September 11th the foundation sponsored "A Celebration of Peace and Unity".
