Announcing New County-Wide Homeless Portal Logo in Red Homeless Outreach Portal

A brand-new, county-wide online portal allows residents to easily submit requests for homeless outreach. The Los Angeles County Homeless Outreach Portal (LA-HOP) makes it easier and more efficient for the public to request help and have it dispatched to connect homeless persons with outreach workers. The development of this new portal was supported by funds from LA County Measure H. The portal is mobile-friendly, and can be translated into seven different languages.

How does it work?

  • Outreach requests are submitted via LA-HOP
  • Requests are automatically routed to the appropriate regional outreach coordinator
  • The outreach coordinator than triages the request and sends to the most appropriate outreach team
  • A team accepts the request, staff is assigned, and workers are then deployed to the location
  • The entire process is routed and tracked through the online system

Please read the entire site before submitting a request. If you come across a family with minor children experiencing homelessness, have them call 211 and ask to be connected to the Coordinated Entry System for Families. If you are concerned about illegal activity, contact your local law enforcement agency. For medical and mental health emergencies, call 911. Visit to learn more.
